Bayern, having announced a deal to sign Mario Gotze from Dortmund earlier this week, are now being linked with a move for BVB striker Robert Lewandowski, whose agent recently underlined his client’s intention to move on this summer.

Dortmund, meanwhile, are said to be closing in on a move for Bayern’s Gomez, who was reported to have been seen at a hospital in the Ruhr Valley and at the club’s offices.

Later on Thursday, however, agent Uli Ferber rubbished the rumours and told local Dortmund paper Ruhr Nachrichten that Gomez had not been in the city that day.
