Spain manager Vicente Del Bosque is hoping for an all-Spanish Champions League final, claiming that would be what "everybody wants".
Real Madrid face Borussia Dortmund while Barcelona play Bayern Munich in the semi-finals, meaning either an all-Spanish or all-German showpiece is possible on May 25.
Former Blancos manager Del Bosque believes a Clasico showdown would be another positive advert for the Spanish game following the dominance of the national team in recent competitions.
"Everybody wants a final between Barcelona and Real Madrid," he said. "It would be a great final if Barca and Madrid were to meet, as the majority of the players also play for Spain's national team. It would be another huge step for Spanish football.
"Over the past decade or so, we have seen a Spanish hegemony, with teams like Valencia, Sevilla, Villarreal and Deportivo doing well, too."
