An Arsenal fan has been banned from attending matches for three years after throwing a banana at Tottenham Hotspur's Gareth Bale.
A judge said Thomas Flint had shown "disgraceful behaviour" in aiming the fruit at Bale as the Wales international took a corner during the north London derby at White Hart Lane in March.
Flint also swore at Tottenham fans during the Premier League match, which Spurs won 2-1, and has been fined £250 as well being banned.
At a magistrates' court on Friday, District Judge Rebecca Crane told Flint he had allowed his passion for football "to boil over into hostility for a single player and the opposing team. It could have boiled over into violence".
