Ange Postecoglou's team had appeared set for defeat but rallied to force the extra half-hour and book a meeting with Central Coast Mariners next weekend.

Glory struck first through Ryo Nagai after 15 minutes when the Japanese winger chested home Scott Jamieson's cross after a mistake by goalkeeper Nathan Coe.

Their solid defensive efforts appeared to be enough to take them to a narrow win - but were made to pay the price for missing a late penalty.

With three minutes remaining, Shane Smeltz had the chance to seal the result when Mark Milligan brought down Jamieson, but failed to convert from the spot.

And in the final minute of normal time, Glory defender Steve Pantelidis was adjudged to have pulled back Victory attacker Andrew Nabbout. Pantelidis was shown a red card and Milligan kept his cool to level the scores.

Four minutes into the added period, Victory found the decisive goal as Archie Thompson headed home a Marco Rojas cross.
