Jaap Stam will join the Manchester United legends squad to take on Real Madrid in an Old Trafford exhibition match during the summer.
The Dutch defender, who left United in 2001 after making controversial comments about some team-mates in his autobiography, helped them to a hat-trick of league titles and was part of the 1999 Treble-winning team.
Manager Sir Alex Ferguson, who sold Stam to Lazio, later said the decision to move him on had been the biggest mistake of his managerial career.
But Ferguson and Stam have patched up their disagreement, and the Dutchman will be in the Manchester United squad for the Real game on June 2.
He will line up alongside his fellow countryman Edwin van der Sar, who will be in goal, striker Teddy Sheringham and midfielder Nicky Butt.
