Juve coach Antonio Conte was also targeted by Napoli fans on his way to the San Paolo, but punishments were only dealt for incidents which occurred inside the stadium.

"Napoli receive a fine of 20,000 euros because their supporters launched numerous firecrackers, flares and three bottles into the area occupied by the supporters of the opposing team, without serious consequences," a statement on the league's official website, legaseriea.it, read.

Roma, Catania and Pescara were also issued with smaller fines as firecrackers were thrown on to home pitches in respective games against Genoa, Inter Milan and Udinese.
