Kaka is targeting a summer move to an MLS club, his brother Digao, who plays for New York Red Bulls, has said.
Kaka, 30, has found his opportunities limited at Real Madrid in recent months and had been linked with a return to his former club AC Milan.
But his brother, a defender, told Goal.com the Brazil international was keen to play in the United States, adding: “Football changes very rapidly. It is a dream that he has to come and play in the USA and hopefully it will come true soon.
“I think he's been very curious about football in the United States and New York and about my experience living here.”
He said he had been “relaying good things to him” and he had “expressed his interest in one day playing in the United States”.
