David Beckham will not make his Paris Saint-Germain debut in Sunday's Ligue 1 game against Sochaux, Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed.

The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and LA Galaxy winger, 37, signed for the title-chasing side at the end of January, but only started training this week.

Indeed his fitness is not up to speed yet, and he will now be targeting an appearance against title rivals Marseille next Sunday.

When asked if Beckham was in contention to travel with the PSG squad to Sochaux, Ancelotti said: "No, he will stay here."
