AC Milan forward Bojan Krkic says he will not be looking for revenge when facing former club Barcelona in the Champions League next week.

Bojan, 22, left the Catalan giants 18 months ago for Roma before joining Milan on loan last summer.

The Rossoneri welcome Barca to the San Siro next Wednesday and the Spaniard is eager to help his current side overcome the club he spent 12 years with.

"I have wanted to play and score against Barca," he told RAC1. "But not out of anger or bitterness, which I do not have, but in order to help my team-mates.

"Would it be a point of vindication? Yeah, but for the importance of the game. To not play in the 2011 Champions League Final at Wembley really hurt me and I did not get a chance.

"It is difficult for anyone to perform if you do not have continuity and you do not feel important. At Barca I was important in key moments at a historic club, but I did not play competitively and for tactical decisions."

Bojan went on to discuss his hopes for the future, admitting he would love to return to Barcelona, but he is desperate for a permanent deal wherever he ends up.

"Despite everything I am proud of my time at the club, and I showed that I can play at a very high level," Bojan said. "Will I go back? It is my home, but in football wishes do not count.

"I need to be a regular starter to be owned by Milan or any other team. That is why next year I hope that I will be owned by a team that is committed to me, in order for me to be important."
