Chievo have announced the sale of Rinaldo Cruzado to Argentinian club Newell’s Old Boys for an undisclosed fee.

The 28 year old midfielder has been with the Verona based club since August 2011 who announced the news on its official website late on Tuesday evening.

It read:"Chievo Verona announce the outright sale of Rinaldo Cruzado to Newell's Old Boys.

"After a season and a half in yellow and blue, with 25 appearances and one goal, the Peruvian midfielder leaves Chievo and Italy to play for the Argentine club."

The deal will see him move immediately as the transfer window is still open in South America and comes after he fell out of favour with new coach Eugenio Corini.

Last season he was a regular in the side but his appearances this term were limited to one start and four as a substitute, the last of which came against Siena in November.
