Barcelona will play in a friendly against Pep Guardiola's Bayern Munich team on July 24 at Allianz Arena in Munich as part of the 2013-14 preseason schedule, Barcelona announced Wednesday on the club website.
Bayern signed Guardiola to a three-year contract that starts in July. Guardiola led Barcelona to 14 titles over four seasons before stepping down and taking a year off.
The German club said Wednesday the match was finalized in talks between Bayern chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge and Barcelona president Sandro Rosell on the fringes of the meeting of the European Club Association in Doha, Qatar.
Bayern said the match was a present for club president Uli Hoeness' 60th birthday and that the entire income will go to the charities he supports.
"The two clubs have been discussing this possibility for several months, and finally came to a definitive agreement today Wednesday as part of the ECA general assembly being held in Doha (Qatar)," the statement on the club's website reads.
