Inter Milan have denied making a €14million bid for Montpellier's Younes Belhanda.

Inter are said to be in the market for a new midfielder after selling Wesley Sneijder to Galatasaray, and Belhanda, who won the Ligue 1 title with Montpellier last season, has been mooted as a potential replacement.
Quotes attributed to Montpellier president Louis Nicollin by Turkish newspaper AMK had added to the conjecture. He said: "We have accepted an offer of €14million for Belhanda from Inter. Fenerbahce only offered eight million, so the player will go to Inter."
However, Inter director Marco Branca said in a statement on the club's official website: "We don't like to contradict Montpellier's president, but Inter have never presented him with an offer for Younes Belhanda."
