Bastos closing in on Schalke move - report
Lyon winger Michel Bastos has agreed personal terms with Schalke, according to German magazine kicker.
Speculation has recently gathered pace that Bastos, 29, is close to joining Schalke, although reports indicate the two clubs have yet to agree on a fee.
Over the weekend, injury worries increased for the Schalke, after squad players Chinedu Obasi and Tranquillo Barnetta picked up knocks during a training match on Saturday.
Both midfielders will be sidelined, decimating the Schalke squad further, with Netherlands international Ibrahim Affelay not set to return before March.
Lyon are said to be seeking €6 million for the former Brazil international, and the transfer could be financed with the transfer money for Lewis Holtby, who may be set for an early transfer to Tottenham.
