Reports of a dressing room bust-up between Real Madrid coach Jose Mourinho and his star player Cristiano Ronaldo are wide of the mark, according to Raul Abiol.

Media reports in Spain claimed the Portuguese pair clashed in the wake of Real's 2-0 victory over Valencia in the first leg of their Copa del Rey quarter-final but Albiol put it down to nothing more than an animated post-match debrief between the striker and his under-fire manager.

"Ronaldo and Mourinho are both winners. They only exchanged their opinions. What happened does in no way affect the rest of the team," the defender said at a press conference.

Also making headlines this week has been Kaka's desire to return to AC Milan on loan. The Brazilian has found opportunities limited at the Bernabeu, and Albiol said it can be tough to nail down a first team place in the Spanish champions' team.

"We have a great squad. Every player has the quality to be a starter. We will all have to give our all in order to get playing time," he added. "Kaka has always done his utmost for Madrid since his arrival at the club. For now, he is a player like everyone else. I do not know what will happen in the next few weeks."
