QPR will invite cash bids for out-of-favour midfielder Alejandro Faurlin, ESPN understands.

The club have already turned down a loan offer for the 26-year-old from Palermo but the midfielder’s agent told Sky Sports that he is highly likely to leave in this window. QPR would prefer that to be on a permanent deal, as they prepare to spend £20 million in this window themselves.

Faurlin has only appeared in three of seven games since Harry Redknapp took over in November, and his representative - Luca Cominelli - insisted that his client was considering leaving London.

“Alejandro does not appear to be in the plans of the manager, and that is football - there is no animosity between anyone,” he said. “We are looking at the options now and we are talking to clubs on the continent. There is big interest, particularly from Italy, and from all over Europe.”

Meanwhile, despite QPR’s well-publicised interest in William Gallas and Redknapp’s relationship with the defender, Tottenham boss Andre Villas-Boas has said he will not be leaving in this window. “That’s impossible,” the Portuguese said of any move.
