Quaresma, a free agent since being released by Beskitas last month, has joined the club on an 18-month deal, chairman Abdulla Al Naboodah confirmed via Twitter on Monday evening.
Ahli director of football Roy Aitken, who previously confirmed the club's interest in the player, said the 29-year-old Portugal international is likely to be the club's only addition during the transfer window.
"He’s the only one we’re looking at. Other players have been mentioned [but] he’s the only one we’re working on at the moment,” he toldSport360 last week.
Quaresma, who also counts Porto, Chelsea and Sporting among his former clubs, will be hoping to help Al-Ahli to a first league crown since 2009. Comments
