QPR boss Harry Redknapp flew out to France and watched from the box of OM president Vincent Labrune at the Stade Velodrome as Remy played all 120 minutes in OM's 2-1 extra-time win against second division Guingamp in the Coupe de France on Sunday.

Redknapp returned to London disappointed, however, after Remy, who has also been strongly linked to Newcastle United, rejected his overtures.

According radio station RMC, OM would have been willing to discuss a move, with QPR ready to offer €10 million and Shaun Wright-Phillips for Remy, who has scored just a single league goal this season.

OM sporting director Jose Anigo had opened the door for a departure of one of the club's most prized assets in L'Equipe on Sunday when he stated Remy could move "if there's a big club and he's interested".

L'Equipe claims German side Schalke and Dortmund are also pursuing striker Remy.
