Burkina Faso stripped of qualifying result
Democratic Republic of Congo have been awarded a 3-0 World Cup qualifying win over Burkina Faso, who FIFA ruled fielded an ineligible player when the nations drew 0-0 in June.
FIFA made the ruling after finding that Cameroon-born defender Herve Zengue did not meet the necessary requirements for him to represent Burkina Faso.
Burkina Faso have until mid-January to appeal against the finding.
Zengue was at the centre of controversy before this year's African Nations Cup when Namibia argued that they should have replaced Burkina Faso in the tournament because he was an ineligible player.
They took their case to the Court of Arbitration in Sport, but it ruled that Zengue, married to a Burkinabe woman, had the correct paperwork to enable him to play for Burkina Faso.
