Nene could return to his native Brazil, with a trio of high-profile clubs chasing the out-of-favour Paris Saint-Germain midfielder.

Nene, 31, missed Tuesday night's 4-0 win at Valenciennes after being left out of Carlo Ancelotti's matchday squad for a second successive Ligue 1 game as punishment for, as the coach put it, "not showing a good attitude" during last week's Champions League home win over Porto.

Though Inter Milan are also reportedly interested in his services, three clubs in his home country - Santos, Corinthians and Cruzeiro - are leading the chase for Nene, who has just six months left on his PSG deal. He has expressed a desire to return to Brazil in recent weeks.

Ancelotti, though, has not entirely ruled out the prospect of the player remaining at the Parc des Princes in the immediate future.

"If Nene asks to leave, we have to decide if he should go or whether he's important for our future. He has not asked to leave, so we've decided nothing," he said, before adding: "He's had a good attitude [in training] in the last few days."
