Inter Milan are closing on a move for CSKA Moscow midfielder Keisuke Honda, according to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, as they look to line up a replacement for Wesley Sneijder.

Sneijder looks set to leave the San Siro this winter after he refused a new contract offer and Honda, 26, has been in fine form this season in the Russian Premier League: scoring six goals and setting up another four in 18 games.
The Japan international’s contract will come to an end in January 2014 and he has been linked with a move to Italy for some time - coming close to a move to Lazio earlier this year before CSKA pulled the plug on the deal.
Available for around €15 million, Honda is still believed to be keen on a switch although may have to wait until Sneijder’s future is resolved before any transfer can be done.
