Tijuana came out on top in the first leg of the Mexican league Apertura final against Toluca.

The home side was 2-1 winners, with all three goals coming in a busy first half.

Fidel Martinez opened the scoring in the 23rd minute only for Toluca's Edgar Benitez to level within three minutes.

Pablo Aguilar restored the lead six minutes before the interval, with neither side adding to the scoring in the second period.
