The Foxes boss is close to securing loan deals for two of Manchester United's youngsters, Michael Keane and Jesse Lingard.

Leicester are hoping to complete the formalities of the loans in time to be able to include the pair in their squad for the game against Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday.

Pearson feels his side are still on a "learning curve" as they attempt to come to terms with the pressure of mounting a successful promotion campaign and hopes the addition of the United duo will improve his squad.

Keane, 19, who can operate as a right back or a central defender, has made two appearances for United in the Capital One Cup games against Newcastle and Chelsea.

The 5-4 loss at Stamford Bridge has prompted Ferguson to allow Keane to move on loan to gain more experience.

Lingard, 19, is yet to make a first-team appearance for United, but the midfielder is highly regarded at Old Trafford.
