Hearts players and manager John McGlynn have had their salary payments delayed for the second straight month, according to Press Association Sport reports.

The October salaries of McGlynn and six Hearts first-team players were not received as scheduled on Wednesday. This latest problem follows ongoing financial troubles which have hampered the club since 2011.

The Scottish Premier League have been told of the recent hold-up, and Hearts will be required to respond to the incident by Friday.

Reports claim the players at the centre of the saga are prepared to be patient, despite September's salaries also being received four days late.

Last season, the PFA Scotland lodged a complaint on behalf of the players to the Scottish Premier League over three months of unpaid wages. However, on that occasion, Hearts met the demands in January.
