TONGEREN, Belgium -- A Belgian soccer player drove his speeding Porsche into a gas station convenience store, injuring one customer.

Security video taken early Sunday shows Jonathan Legear's car crashing through the glass doors of the store in the eastern town of Tongeren. The sports car plowed through several stalls of food and drinks before stopping at the cash register and forcing customer Jeffrey Dewallef to jump out of the way.

Court spokesman Michel Zegers said Monday the player will be charged with involuntary assault and possibly intoxication. He will be banned from driving for at least two weeks.

Legear plays for the Russian club Terek Grozny and made two appearances for Belgium in 2010. Zegers says there is no reason to prevent the midfielder from flying to rejoin Grozny.
