Atletico Mineiro midfielder Bernard has revealed he may consider a move to Europe in January, but only if the right offer comes along.
Bernard, 20, has been one of the stars of this season's Brasileirao, helping guide his side to second in the league table, making him one of the favourites for the player of the season award.
After receiving offers from Europe over the summer the player decided to remain in Brazil, and while he is fully committed to the Atletico cause for the time being, he may be tempted by a move at the end of the season.
"I was surprised [about the offers]," Bernard told Globo Esporte. "I asked him to pass on the proposals when there was something right.
"I am glad, of course, of the European interest. However, at this time I am focused on Atletico because we are at a crucial phase in the season - we are challenging for the title.
"If there is any interest at the end of the season and it is in the interests of both parties, let's talk."
A move to Europe has been a life-long dream of a player who was recently called up to the Brazil squad, but he is prepared to wait to find a deal that suits both himself and his club.
"The desire off any player coming out the academy is to play in Europe and the national team - that's what I want," he added.
"However, I have a contract and I want to fulfil it. If it is best for Atlético and for me, I will leave happily. It is my desire to play abroad.
"It's up to the manager and the chairman, they will decide. Then, the final decision is with me. If it's good for me, then I will be happy."
