Manchester United defender Jonny Evans will be given until Sunday to prove his fitness ahead of the club's Premier League clash with Newcastle United, after picking up a knock in his side's Champions League win over CFR Cluj on Tuesday.

Evans was injured during United's 2-1 loss to Tottenham at the weekend, but managed to recover in time to travel to Romania.
But the defender was substituted in the 79th minute after complaining of a dead leg, although manager Sir Alex Ferguson believes Evans has enough time to recover for the trip to Newcastle.
"Jonny got injured on Saturday… he had a recurrence of that. It is a dead leg," Ferguson said.
"He has five days to recover for Sunday. Hopefully he will be okay."
