Totti misses Del Piero
Francesco Totti says it will be "strange" when Roma face a Juventus team without Alessandro Del Piero on Sunday for the first time in his career.
Del Piero, 37, finally left Juve after 19 long years with the club, before moving to Australia to finish his career at Sydney FC.
Totti, 36, has been with Roma since 1989 and has come up against his former Italy team-mate every time their two clubs have met - until now.
The Roma legend jokingly expressed his dismay at the departure of his old friend before stating that he sees the Juventus-Roma fixture as second only to the Milan derby.
"It is going to be a little strange to play Juventus-Roma without Del Piero," he told Sky Italia. "I would've liked to face him again so we could retire together. Without doubt Del Piero will be missed by Italian football. The important thing is I'm still here!
"Of course there is real rivalry with the Bianconeri and that's only normal. After all, this is not a game like any other. I'd put it as the second most important fixture, right behind the derby. We will try to face it with a carefree attitude so we can put in a great performance."
Totti scored his 216th Serie A goal on Wednesday, a total which sees him as the joint-third highest scorer in the division's history - level with Giuseppe Meazza and Jose Altafini and only nine behind second placed Gunnar Nordahl.
"It was emotional to score that goal, even though I would've preferred to win and bring back three points," Totti added.
