Bayern Munich have said they will not be paying any money to Osasuna for their part in training Javi Martinez as a youngster.
Uli Hoeness, Bayern's president, claims that any potential sell-on fee owed to Osasuna, where Spain international Martinez began his career, should be paid by his former employers Athletic Bilbao.
The Basque midfielder left the San Mames for the Bundesliga during the transfer window after Bayern paid €40 million to buy out his contract with the Zurigorri, and Osasuna believe they are owed €800,000 due to agreement made when Martinez joined Athletic as a 17-year-old.
However, Hoeness told Suddeutsche Zeitung: "According to the laws of FIFA, Osasuna should receive money for the part they played in Martinez's career, but from Athletic. This has nothing to do with Bayern."
