Chelsea midfielder Yossi Benayoun has made a return to West Ham, five years after leaving the club.
Benayoun, 32, moves to Upton Park on a season-long loan deal, having spent the previous campaign at Arsenal on a similar arrangement.
He wrote on his Twitter account: "After a long and busy day I can say I had 3 offers from PL clubs..but not from liverpool or arsenal like some reports.. But I'm very happy to confirm that I will join on loan to West Ham! Can't wait to start..great club."
The Israel international had two full seasons with the Hammers, scoring eight times in 63 league appearances and reaching the FA Cup final in 2006.
He has struggled to work his way into the first-team picture at Chelsea, having joined them from Liverpool in 2010.
Meanwhile, West Ham have allowed striker Nicky Maynard to join Cardiff City for an undisclosed fee.
Maynard, 25, had only moved to Upton Park from Bristol City in January but has been deemed surplus to requirements.
