Sampdoria have completed the signing of winger Simon Poulsen on a three-year deal.

Poulsen, 27, moves to the Stadio Luigi Ferraris following the expiration of his contract with AZ Alkmaar.

The Denmark international, who can also play at left-back, collected the latest of his 21 caps at the recent European Championships.

After missing out on the chance to feature in Samp's shock victory at AC Milan on Sunday, Poulsen could make his Serie A debut against Siena on this weekend.
