Inter Milan goalkeeper Julio Cesar says he is still a Nerazzurri player and that a Facebook post claiming he has decided to leave the club was not written by him.

Julio Cesar, 32, had previously indicated that he would be willing to terminate his contract with Inter in order to find new employment, so it was no surprise when a post on his Facebook page suggested his time at the San Siro was over.

"They have been seven beautiful and successful years but, in a few days, my adventure in the Inter shirt will end," the post said.

However the Brazilian, a rumoured target for Arsenal, Tottenham and Roma, now insists he has not yet decided to leave Inter - though the arrival of Samir Handanovic from Udinese appears to suggest his first-team opportunities may be restricted in the 2012-13 season.

"I want to point out that I never made any statement on my future," Julio Cesar told Sky Sport Italia. "I absolutely deny giving the quotes that appeared, as it was not my Facebook page.

"If I have anything to tell the fans, then I will want to do it personally."

Julio Cesar has played for the Nerazzurri on nearly 300 occasions, winning 14 trophies including five Serie A titles and the 2010 Champions League.
