AC Milan defender Didac Vila will join Valencia on loan for the 2012-13 season, having failed to make his move to the San Siro work since transferring from Espanyol in January 2011.

Vila, 23, returned to Espanyol on loan last summer after making just one appearance in his first six months at AC Milan and will now join Valencia as they look to replace the departed Jordi Alba.

The deal is subject to the player passing a medical at the Mestalla.

It has been a busy day for AC Milan left-backs, with Taye Taiwo leaving the club to join Dynamo Kiev. A one-year loan contract has been agreed, with the option of a permanent transfer next summer.
