Real Betis have confirmed they have signed Arsenal forward Joel Campbell on a one-season loan.

Campbell, 20, spent last season on loan from Arsenal at French side Lorient, where he scored three goals in 27 appearances.

The Costa Rica international, who passed his medical and signed his Betis contract on Thursday, joined Arsenal from Deportivo Saprissa in August 2011.

On Thursday it was confirmed that Gunners midfielder Denilson will spend another season away from Emirates Stadium, after Sao Paulo announced his loan deal had been extended.
