Chiellini had to be withdrawn with a calf problem during Italy's 4-0 defeat to Spain on Sunday, and is expected to be absent for around 40 days as a result.
A statement from Juventus read: "Giorgio Chiellini underwent a scan after sustaining an injury during Sunday night's Euro 2012 final against Spain. Tests have revealed a first-second degree muscular lesion in his left calf."
Juve, the defending Serie A champions, appear set to be without Chiellini for the Italian Supercoppa clash with Napoli on August 11.
