Western Sydney Wanderers FC have rejected rumours they are in negotiations with former AC Milan striker Filippo Inzaghi.

• Inzaghi considering A-League move
Reports had claimed Inzaghi could join the club after ending his 11-year association with Milan, with agent Lou Nesci claiming the player was "certainly keen to come to Australia and the Wanderers would seem to be a good fit", but coach Tony Popovic says the A-League newcomers have no plans to sign the 38-year-old.
"There'll be talk of players every day, which you understand, but I've had no discussions about (Inzaghi)," Popovic said.
"A name like that will always excite the fans and people around football to see if it's possible, but a name in a paper is far away from becoming a reality."
