Lucio leaves Inter Milan

Inter Milan have confirmed that Brazilian defender Lucio has left the club by mutual consent.

Lucio, 34, had two years remaining on his contract at Inter but the club and player have opted to part ways, amid reported interest from the likes of Juventus and Fenerbahce.

An Inter statement read: "FC Internazionale communicates that it has deposited with the Lega Serie A documents confirming the amicable and mutually agreed termination of the contract with Lucio.

"The Brazilian defender, who was contracted with the club until June 30, 2014, played in the Nerazzurri shirt in 135 official games, scoring five goals and winning a Scudetto, two editions of the Coppa Italia, a Supercoppa Italia, one UEFA Champions League and a Club World Cup.

"Lucio and his family have the most sincere salute from all at FC Internazionale."

During his time at Inter, Lucio won one Scudetto, two Coppa Italias, one Super Coppa, the UEFA Champions League and the Club World Cup.
