Karim El Ahmadi is eagerly anticipating plying his trade in the Premier League as his proposed switch from Feyenoord to Aston Villa draws nearer.
El Ahmadi, 27, is reportedly closing in on a £3 million transfer to Villa, with new boss Paul Lambert expressing his hope this week that a deal is imminent.
Lambert is thought to be keen to secure the Morocco international's signature ahead of July 5, when the players report back for pre-season training.
El Ahmadi, who joined Feyenoord from FC Twente in 2008, told the Express and Star: "Aston Villa is a top club. I will miss Feyenoord, but nobody will blame me for taking this step.
"I am looking forward to playing against clubs like Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Arsenal."
