Athletic Bilbao have reached an agreement with Valencia that will see former player Aritz Aduriz return to the club.

Aduriz, 31, came through the youth ranks at the San Mames, spending two seperate spells in the first-team at Athletic either side of time at Burgos and Real Valladolid.

Aduriz last left the club in 2008 to join Real Mallorca before joining Valencia two years later after impressing in his time at the Balearic club.

A statement on the club's official website read: "Athletic Bilbao and Valencia have reached an agreement for the transfer of Aritz Aduriz to our club. The player will remain at Athletic for the next three seasons.''
