Frederic Kanoute has confirmed he has met with Chinese side Beijing Guoan but said he was also considering offers from the Middle East and United States.
Former Mali striker Kanoute, 34, is a free agent after ending a seven-year spell with Sevilla and is expected to make the move to China, but he has revealed he is still mulling his options.
"I went to China to discuss an offer that I got from the Chinese club," he said. "I am delighted with what I heard. However, I have a lot of offers on the table at the moment and fingers crossed I will make the right choice."
He added: "Football has developed everywhere nowadays - all leagues are now very competitive. My career is not finished yet. I can still play at the top level. I am looking forward to next season either in the Middle East or China or the United States."
Kanoute, who was born in France, began his professional career with Lyon before moving on to West Ham United, Tottenham Hotspur and Sevilla.
