Borussia Dortmund have announced that Stuttgart striker Julian Schieber is to join the club for an undisclosed fee.

Schieber, 23, has agreed a four-year contract with Dortmund and will sign the deal upon completion of a medical.

"We are delighted to have signed a young German player in Julian Schieber," Dortmund's director of sport Michael Zorc said. "He fits perfectly into our team and has huge potential."

Schieber, who spent the 2010-11 season on loan at Nurnberg, arrives following the sale of Lucas Barrios to Chinese club Guangzhou Evergrande.
