AC Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri has spoken of his delight that star names such as Thiago Silva will not be sold as the club look to regain the Serie A title.

With Juventus winning the Scudetto, Milan will be eager to take back the crown next season. But with big-spending Paris Saint Germain making a bid for Thiago Silva which would have smashed the world record fee for a defender there were fears that some top players could be sold.
Alexandre Pato is another player courted by Ligue 1 outfit PSG, but he too has pledged his future to the San Siro side. Star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is also said to be a wanted man.
"It was a big decision and President Silvio Berlusconi gave a huge gift to the team and fans," Allegri told Sky Sport Italia. "Ibrahimovic will also stay. He had a strong season, scoring 28 goals. The club decided not to dismantle the squad and will keep the foundations of the team intact.
"The side is almost complete, but the market is open until August 31 and anything can still happen. We are really motivated to fight back, as we had the Scudetto in our grasp. Unfortunately, Juventus had an extraordinary campaign."
