Caparros, 56, took over at Mallorca last October following the resignation of Michael Laudrup and was originally contracted until June 30.
Caparros said: "I'm very happy with this agreement. I'm looking forward to my second season in Mallorca with high hopes and a lot of enthusiasm.''
In the past, Caparros has coached the likes of Athletic Bilbao, Sevilla, Deportivo La Coruna and Villarreal in La Liga.
