Arsenal have confirmed that youngster Benik Afobe has joined Championship side Reading on loan.

Afobe, 19, will spend the remainder of the season on loan at Reading, who are currently second in the Championship table.

The striker has yet to appear for Arsenal's first team, but has featured for the reserves this season after returning to fitness following a long-term injury.

Afobe enjoyed two loan spells at Huddersfield last season, scoring eight times in 36 appearances.
