Bayern Munich have confirmed they are keeping a close eye on Manchester City's young striker John Guidetti, who is currently on loan at Feyenoord.

Guidetti scored a hat-trick in the Dutch club's 3-1 win against Vitesse this weekend, taking his goal tally for the season to 17 in 15 appearances, as Bayern's scouts looked on at De Kuip. It was also his third consecutive hat-trick in home games.

With Ivica Olic expected to leave Bayern this summer, the Bundesliga side are on the lookout for replacements and Sweden Under-21 star Guidetti is now high on their wanted list.

"We are looking at him and a striker at Montpellier, (Olivier) Giroud, very closely," Bayern's youth coach and scout Bjorn Andersson told De Telegraaf.

Guidetti, 19, faces a tough task to establish himself at parent club City given the presence of Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli, Edin Dzeko and possibly Carlos Tevez, so may well consider a move to Germany.

Bayern's other target, Giroud, has scored 21 goals in 27 appearances this season for Montpellier who sit second in Ligue 1, just a point behind big-spending leaders Paris St Germain.
