Victory's Hernandez to miss Glory clash

January 19, 2012

Melbourne Victory midfielder Carlos Hernandez is out of his side's A-League clash with Perth Glory with a groin injury.

Hernandez picked up the injury in his side's draw with Adelaide.

Victory, who sit a point adrift of sixth spot on the A-League ladder, travel to nib Stadium for the Sunday clash.

Striker Danny Allsopp is also likely to be left out of the starting line-up with new coach Jim Magilton saying he wanted to give other players opportunities.

"He may well be," Magilton said of Allsopp after Friday's training session.

"It's important to give everyone an opportunity and this week has been about assessing the playing group."

Perth have snared seven points from their recent three-game road trip but the Victory hope they can take advantage of some tired Glory players.
