Henrikh Mkhitaryan happy to play any position as long as Man United win

Henrikh Mkhitaryan is not bothered what position he plays for Manchester United as long as they are winning games.

Mkhitaryan, 27, made his debut in the 2-0 friendly win against Wigan playing in the No.10 role but he can also play on the left or right wing.

However, that is secondary to the success of the team as far as the Armenia international is concerned.

He told MUTV: "It doesn't matter where [I play]. The most important thing is to play to help the team by winning games and that is the main thing for me."

Of his debut as a whole, Mkhitaryan was happy but not completely satisfied and hoped he would develop a better understanding with his new teammates as preseason continues.

"It was a good game," he said. "The first half was a little bit difficult because we couldn't score a goal but we made a good game and thank you to my teammates for today.

"I was trying to feel comfortable but I think day by day it will get better."
