WADA mulling appeal of Mamadou Sakho's doping case dismissal

The World Anti-Doping Agency will wait to see the full results of UEFA's ruling on Liverpool's Mamadou Sakho before deciding whether to appeal the dismissal of charges against the Liverpool player.

Sakho was suspended for 30 days in April after allegedly failing a doping test in the Europa League.

But a UEFA board cleared him last week after a hearing with the player's lawyers.

WADA can appeal that decision, and a spokesman told the Telegraph: "We are awaiting the reasoned decision as it relates to this one."

The Telegraph also reported that neither Sakho nor Liverpool have ruled out legal action against WADA for the erroneous suspension, after he was forced to miss the Europa League and Euro 2016 with France.
