Zlatan Ibrahimovic hails Laurent Blanc's management of PSG squad

Zlatan Ibrahimovic has praised Laurent Blanc's reshuffling of the Paris Saint-Germain squad during a hectic and potentially decisive period of the season.

Ibrahimovic, 33, watched all of PSG's 2-0 Coupe de France win over Nantes on Wednesday from the Parc des Princes bench as Blanc's men embarked on a run of eight games in a month.

Those encounters include the two legs of their Champions League last-16 tie with Chelsea, as well as a Coupe de France quarterfinal and Ligue 1 game with Monaco.

Ibrahimovic, who missed six weeks of the first half of the season due to a heel injury, believes Blanc was wise to exploit the strength-in-depth of the PSG squad given the imposing challenges that lie ahead.

"The coach decided to change the team which, I think, is a very good thing given our very busy schedule," he said on his application, Zlatan Unplugged. "My absence changes nothing, in fact. We play in the same way, whether I'm on the pitch or not."

Asked whether he expected to return to the starting XI for Saturday's Ligue 1 game against Caen, with Tuesday's first leg against Chelsea looming, Ibrahimovic replied: "It's up to the coach to decide that. He keeps an eye on each player, and does what is best for the team."
