Steven Gerrard facing three weeks out with hamstring injury - reports

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is facing up to three weeks out injured, according to a number of British newspapers.

Gerrard was replaced in the 68th minute of Liverpool's 3-2 win over Tottenham in the Premier League on Tuesday.

The Guardian and the Liverpool Echo report Gerrard suffered a hamstring injury that will rule him out of this weekend's FA Cup trip to Crystal Palace.

The 34-year-old is also set to be absent for the Europa League tie at home to Besiktas, the match at Southampton on Feb. 22 and could face a race against time to be available for the second leg in Turkey.

Gerrard's injury is another setback in midfield for manager Brendan Rodgers after he lost Lucas Leiva for six weeks due to a thigh problem.

Former England skipper Gerrard is to part company with Liverpool at the end of the season ahead of joining the Los Angeles Galaxy.
