Danny Ings interesting Real Sociedad boss David Moyes

Real Sociedad boss David Moyes has indicated an interest in Burnley striker Danny Ings and suggested it would benefit the player to move to La Liga.

England under-21 international Ings is out of contract at the end of the season, and has been linked with a host of top clubs, with sources telling ESPN FC last month that Tottenham had been interested and that Liverpool were also ready to make an offer.

Chelsea and Manchester City have also been monitoring his situation.

Moyes, who took charge of La Real in November last year, said in an interview with BBC Radio 5 live that the 22-year-old would likely have plenty of options.

"Danny is someone who I think has done really well, and who anyone would like to have," the former Manchester United boss said.

Elche's Charlie I'Anson -- currently on loan at third-tier side Real Oviedo -- is the only Englishman on the books of a Primera Division side at present but Moyes feels more players should consider a move to La Liga.

On whether Sociedad could attract Ings to Anoeta Stadium, Moyes said: "I don't know. There's players there who I think it would help them -- it would help their profile and it would be great for many of them to come and play in Spain."

Sociedad president Jokin Aperribay had recently refused to be drawn on whether his club would move for Ings.

"To talk about Danny Ings would be to talk about next summer, and get too ahead of reality," he told AS earlier this month. "There is still a lot to think about for next year, the truth is work is being done, but it is very early to talk about what La Real want for next year.

"I am not going to speak about any player. In the winter market the view was not just on who we could sign now but also in the summer, for the future."
